Philosophy Professor Rob Gressis asked students two questions:
1. Is it moral to force others to give to the cause of your choice?
2. Is it moral for the government to force others to give to the cause of your choice?
About half of students answered yes to the latter while voting disproportionally against the former. With some of the students, Professor Gressis also made some people change their minds when illustrating the contradiction between being against one but not the other.
